The World’s Smallest Art Gallery

Find us on the Peace Dale Village, South County Bike Path!

Current Exhibition: ROSITA SAUVAGEAU- SERNO

On view through mid June

Artist’s statement:

My drive to be creative was always with me. For as long as I can remember there’s been a deep passion for dance, fashion and organic movement.

I grew up in the city of Zürich, Switzerland spending every Sunday window shopping with my grandmother. I could see myself in the glass pretending to wear all those pretty dresses. I would dance and twirl in all the colors while holding my grandmother’s hand. These days I ride my Harley from state to state while holding my other best friends hand, the wind, he is my psychologist.

In this body of work, I studies the use of mirrors and the movement of the wind to combine my passion of today and to recreate a favorite childhood memory while suppling the tools for you, the viewer, to imagine and enjoy these precious moments as I did.

Curator’s statement:

The World’s Smallest Art Gallery is pleased to share Rosita’s exuberant artwork with the community. More of her assemblages of paintings on canvas and mirror can be seen at Caf Bar in Wakefield. https://cafbarri.com/

Rosita, not unlike her artwork, is an energetic, warm, friendly person and it has been a pleasure to work with her on this exhibit!
