401Gives is Rhode Island's statewide day of giving — and for Hera, it's not just a fundraiser. It's how we fund our operating expenses for the year ahead. Every dollar raised keeps our gallery open, our exhibitions running, and our community programming alive. Whether you give $5 or $500, and whether you recruit one friend or ten — it all makes a real difference.

Large gifts & dues

6 AM or 12 PM · Mar 31

Dollar-for-dollar match — your gift doubles. Windows close in minutes, so set an alarm and be logged in early.

Small gifts · $5–$50

4:01 PM · Mar 31 or Apr 1

A flat $20–$25 is added to every gift of any size. Apr 1 at 4:01 PM is the biggest flat match of the event.

Any time — start early

5–10 unique donors by each prize deadline unlocks cash drawings. Even a $5 gift from a friend counts.

A few reminders before you give: All gifts must be made online at 401gives.org to qualify for matches and prizes. The minimum qualifying gift is $5. One unique donor = one gift of $5 or more per organization. If you give multiple times to Hera, it still counts as one unique donor — so encourage friends to give separately from their own accounts!
