Hera Gallery is proud to present the exhibition Something Between Us, a Hera member exhibition featuring Molly Kaderka, Roberta Richman, Abigail Wamboldt, and MJ Yeager. The show will take place at Hera Gallery, at 10 High Street in Wakefield, RI, from June 15th to July 20th, 2019. The public is invited to attend the Opening Reception on Saturday, June 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Gallery will also be holding an Artist Talk on Thursday June 27th, at 7p.m to discuss the artist’s process, materials, and artistic concepts addressed in the work.

In this upcoming exhibition, Something Between Us, our four artists explore relationships with the external element of nature and the internal element of self. For artist Molly Kaderka, her research in Astronomy and Geology has led her to search out and observe moments in the natural world, like the night sky to create visual images. Artist Roberta Richman’s affinity to natural landscape leads her to look at horizons, fields, marshland, and dunes as starting points to her abstract expressionist work.

For artist Abigail Wamboldt, she gravitates towards tactile material, immerses the body physically to create worksthat depictwomen facing everyday misogyny with dignity and grace. Artist MJ Yeager uses her wedding dress as a remnant to a now deceased loved-one to discuss the past and the present self and the transformation in between.

This exhibition will be on view at Hera Gallery until July 20, 2019

These programs are presented with partial support from The Rhode Island State Council of the Arts, The Champlin Foundation, The University of Rhode Island, and the Friends of Hera. Hera Gallery is free and open to the public and is accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking is available.
