Artist's Statement

"Fragments; matter, words, reflection
Layering towards a surface
Charting an image.
Transparencies connect
Where the space between object and action
Becomes a landscape
In the mystery of relations."

   

I make mixed media paintings, drawings, and objects. They often come together
in a textual, non-literal conext -- i.e., "unexpresssed but understood," revealing
an image from the process -- the layering, binding, joining of diverse elements --
where each step builds upon an intuitive knowledge of the whole.
