Growing up in Rhode Island, I was surrounded by beauty - beauty that inspired creativity. My power to create manifested itself early - through painting. Though I pursued work in the field of public health, it was a near fatal car accident that steered me back to my passion for creativity. This catastrophic event had a tranforming effect on me and I now use painting as a vehicle to communicate hope to the world. Painting, which was first a means of personal survival, has now become a voice of hope for broader audiences. As a self taught, emerging artist, it has become evident that pain and brokenness can yield beauty. Vivid color combinations are the hallmark of my dramatic works.
