June 30 -July 28: Members' 27th Anniversary Exhibition

After 27 years, Hera Gallery continues to attract experimental fine artists in New England and beyond to exhibit their work in Southern Rhode Island. Marking Hera's foundation, this exhibition runs from June 30-July 28, with an opening reception held on Saturday, June 30, from 5-7 PM. To dovetail with the exhibition's opening, Hera launches its new website, made possible by a grant from the Rhode Island Foundation.

Representing the current incarnation of Hera's national pool of artist members, this exhibition is thematically diverse. Rather than providing an underlying theme, Hera asked its artists to select works that best represent each individual's current aesthetic focus. The resultant exhibition contains a wide range of media, including photographs, multimedia works, paintings, drawings, and prints.

Specifically, the exhibition features Barbara Pagh's nature inspired photo-lithographs on handmade paper, pastels by Roberta Richman, drawings by Katherine Veneman, and a series of wall sculptures by New Mexico artist Ramsey Lofton. Pat Forni Curan, Brian O'Malley, and Maira Reinbergs have contributed paintings, while Jill McLaughlin and Alexandra Broches display photographic works.
