Community
InvolvementOne
of Hera's strengths is its ability to make use of artists,
interns, and members of our community who volunteer to serve
on our Board of Directors. Check out how you can become a
patron of the arts by picking up a Friend of Hera "Join"
form at the gallery. InternshipsInternships
are offered through the University of Rhode Island's Departments
of Art, Art History, and Women's Studies. Students gain valuable
experience working on exhibitions and assisting the Gallery
Director with administrative duties. Students are required
to commit six hours per week on site, take charge of one project,
and receive three credits. Students from other schools should
make arrangements with their home institution to transfer
their credits.
